The Relational Turn: The Practice of Sustainability
June 2 - 7, 2013 - Esalen, Big Sur
A sequel to the 2011 conference held in Los Angeles, this five-day residential will take place at beautiful Esalen in Big Sur, California. This highly participatory event will bring together a diverse range of practitioners from many fields, including sociology, psychotherapy, community organizing, urban planning, theology, education, and economics, who are deeply concerned with the question of sustainable change. In the structuring of the week, we will create opportunities for dialogue, demonstration, and feedback, with the aim of building our capacity to develop empathic communities that are diverse, interdependent, and sustainable.
